  1. Hi Bob,
Basil just sent me the photo of me with Jon Kimura Parker, 1987. 1987!?!! My God, weren’t we young in those days. There were certainly some fabulous times; thanks for keeping a record of it all. Fond memories of the great days on Hornby.
Everything is great way out here in Boston Bar. I’m so glad I moved out of the city again and sought rural peace. It’s a small but very well-knit community, great people with lots of history. Needless to say, I’m already involved in community affairs. I’m secretary of the Boston Bar North Bend Enhancement Society. We pretty well run things around here. Meanwhile, dealing with tomatoes and beans from our garden and preparing for a lecture for the Opera Club in Vancouver next month. I still keep a hand in, giving talks and teaching courses at Simon Fraser. All opera these days.
    All the best!!

  2. A lovely memory from when the Hornby Festival was of musical consequence. Before the idea that music had to be suitable for family values!! Thank you Tom Durrie where ever you are.
