I was at that protest with my friend Cheryl. We actually got busted skipping out cuz her mom saw us on the news. LOL those were the days Peace and the Easter Be In at Stanley Park what a great time to grow up in.
I agree with Marc. What a wonderful picture! One of the crew of the boat that sailed towards Amchitka later said, when, around the ship’s radio, they heard what we high school students from all over were doing back in the streets of Vancouver, they roared a cheer and cried for joy 🙂 Your riviting portrait, with those captivating faces, nails that day and those times as only a skilled photo-journalist can. Um, how old then?
