  1. Keith used Maclean Road as his private training race track, grooming the surface beautifully to get rid of stones. At my place he took out a large cedar that interfered with his being able to turn his horse and sulky round at the end of the road. At the other end, near where the Seadollar Road mailbox is now, he made a u-shaped turnaround into a field that is still used by those who park there for access to the quiet end of Tribune Bay. His favourite sulky is in a glass display box outside the Stonehouse entrance on Maclean Road.

  2. brought to mind that magical photo you took of Keith on Tribune Bay–it looked like the horse’s hooves weren’t even touching the sand and you just knew how good Keith was feeling.
