In the eighties Kathi and I( occasionally Fraser) started doing Christmas at Long Beach.
We’d stay at Pacific Sands (which had reasonable prices back then.
If you wanted to see a real storm, this was the time of year and place to be.

I couldn’t resist asking him if I could take his Photograph. He agreed. His wife told me, that on a recent trip to China, quite a few people wanted to take his picture and asked her to “get out of the way”!
