Early in 1996 a snow and windstorm knocked the power out on Hornby. It took out the Ballparks overhead power lines. Ron Doucette lent JK his generator and, in no time, we were doing sweet Thursday and Clubnight. It was quite a party with the rest of the island dark Joe King was the centre of the universe. Somebody, who had missed the clubnight, said ” I should have guessed you guys would be up and running”.
Doug Nixon volunteered to dig the ditch. We were going underground!
The usual suspects-see if you can guess who they are./1996
In the nineties LCB allowed Joe King two licenses a month. So, we held two clubnights after each Sweet Thursday. One clubnight was organized by our intrepid entertainment manager, Dana Ingles, usually with a theme in mind.
