the mill is an early model mobile dimension saw, no electric start, rope pull, therefore it is the first mill of the self same Cosmic Cowboys. The gentlemen in the photograph are unknown to me, but look much like inspectors from the provincial forestry department in Port Alberni, who often came to check tally.
