I was raised in Nanaimo and ate at the Modern Cafe a couple of times this past spring when I attended the Federation of BC Writers AGM. I also as a paper kid in the late 1950’s, early 1960’s delivered the Nanaimo Daily Free Press, the building to the right.
The Modern Cafe is still happening in downtown Nanaimo.
Good food. Recommended.
