When Hal finally moved to Hornby sometime in the eighties we used to go on bicycle rides together. One time while going up the Ford Cove hill Hal climbed off his bike saying ” I seem to be out of breath, I’ll walk up from here.” No more bike rides together after that. Then a few years later Hal drowned off Shingle Spit. Someone heard him yelling that he was having a heart attack.

1972-Dick took me and the dog (Cain) up the mountain to show and sample some mushrooms.
